Often, there's nothing sold in stores that will do what you need to do so you have to come up with your own solution using materials you already have or can easily obtain. Threaded insert nuts for wood will make it possible to use scrap wood and scrap metal and many other kinds of salvaged material to create low or no cost solutions for your non-typical fastening needs. You can make temporary jigs, permanent fastenings and fastenings which must be regularly assembled and disassembled. Inserting the insert in a piece of scrap treated pine was effortless but other materials are not always as forgiving so stroking the threads with some bar soap will usually do the trick. When I did craft shows, I made display bases that could be quickly assembled and disassembled. This set includes the hey keys needed to install the inserts.

Great assortment of thread inserts

The thread inserts thread in smoothly into both hardwood (red oak) and some softer southern yellow pine. No issues with bolts threading into them either, so 5 stars here.

Whenever I come across an item that seems useful to me, I gotta have it. In this case it is this very nice set of threaded inserts for wood. I create things to build sometimes, and these will come in very handy to be able to add threads to the wood. Meaning I can use both metal and wood together by threading into these inserts. These have multiple uses in my book. Good value for what comes in this set. Have a great day!

Amazing set

If you do woodworking this is a must have set, the sizes and lengths will make your life soo much easier. super easy to install and hold very well. add a little bit of CA glue and its in there for good.
