A couple years ago my wife and I replaced our 8' X 10' deck with a 10' X 10' deck. I had a container with 1,000 2-1/4 inch Senco deck screws intended to be used in an auto feed screw gun. A friend of mine had such a screw gun! The Senco screws used a square drive and had a short length of larger threading just below the head. I assumed (always dangerous) this short threading was to hold the screws to the plastic strip. These had the self tapping points also. These GOOBETTER #8 X 1-5/8" deck screws have a T20 Torx head (bit supplied) and have a good sharp self tapping point on them! These will stand next to the name brands with pride! These guys will go into my hardware cabinet to be used this summer on projects using treated lumber for ground contact. The only thing to note is these are 304 stainless not 316 stainless so be aware that these are resistant to salt water, not "saltwater proof". The 304 Stainless is great in the backyard!

I chose these #10 stainless 2 1/2” screws to secure 1x6 poplar furring strips to the wall studs for my mud room to support shelving and coat hooks. I like the look of the exposed screw heads which match the other hardware, and I won’t be replacing drywall when someone hangs a backpack on one of the hooks.

I built a combo table/bench for my best friend's fire pit area at his vacation house on the coast. As others have noted, no package markings reference stainless or exterior screws but all indications are SS as they are not magnetic. No slip with the Torx driver. Wish I bought the larger package.

I was very pleased with these screws. I was concerned that because of the price I would be getting inferior quality. But the screws are nice and hard - no problem with the heads twisting off when they heat up or are put under stress when driving them in. Also no problem with the heads stripping out. Hopefully the quality of the stainless is there as well. Only time will tell. But so far everything is great. I also liked the packaging. It gives me the option to hang the box from hooks on pegboard/slatboard of stacking on a shelf. Great value
