These things are awesome. Great threads and washer top. Oak was no problem.

I'm building a bar out of oak 3 x 4's and needed something that would hold them together. These things rock. I predrilled a hole for the head to sink into and these went in without issue at all. There were a few that I moved a bit while testing some joints and they came out and back in without breaking. I did not drill out a hole for the screw at all and they went in. I always like when they include the bit - and it's good quality. The washer head really brings the wood together into a tight joint, no need to clamp.
