I've been using riv-nuts for a long time and they're a great solution when you need one. These are identical to the one's I've gotten from McMaster over the years. They crush evenly and the threads seem to be in spec. This is an extremely good value for the money! The case is nice, I love to see a label under the lid, and the included sizes range well for me. It's also very nice they come individually bagged so they don't end up disheveled from transit! I'm pleased to see so many of each size, even the big ones. This is a ridiculously good price for actual stainless steel!

A good variety of sizes of stainless nutserts to have on hand. I used a couple of these in the 5/16 size to provide threads for bolts holding deck plates down to angle iron where the tapped holes had stripped out. There is a slight lip left on the outside after the rivet nut is inserted and expanded, but it reduces the rattling from the plate being loose.
The rivnuts I've tried performed well and had strong enough threads for the expansion process. Being stainless steel, these are tougher to expand than aluminum or galvanized, but I like the corrosion resistance for use around saltwater.
Make sure to use some anti-seize on your rivet puller and bolts inserted in these, especially if using stainless fasteners as stainless can gall to itself.
This assortment is complete but not extensive. If you have a size you primarily use, you'll be ordering that in bulk. It works well for a contingency plan and is nice to keep around for a solid repair in an emergency.
