🔩 Thread Cover Caps – Vinyl Rubber End Caps for Screws, Rods & Bars (Φ1.5mm–24mm)
You’ve got exposed threads on a hydraulic fitting, a sharp rod end sticking out, or a screw that keeps snagging on everything. Instead of wrapping tape or hoping nothing gets damaged, just push on one of these rubber thread cover caps. They slip over the end of any bolt, bar, or pipe from 1.5mm up to 24mm in diameter. Choose from black, red, white, clear, blue, yellow, or green – and if you need a different color, just ask. These caps protect threads from rust, keep dirt out of open pipe ends, and give your workspace a cleaner, safer look. No tools, no glue: just pick the right size and press it on.
✨ Key Features – Rubber Plastic Thread Protector Caps for Screws & Rods
- 🛡️ Protects threads & pipe ends – Prevents damage to external threads during shipping, storage, or assembly. Also keeps circular openings clean and dust‑free.
- 📏 Wide size range (Φ1.5mm to 24mm) – 36 inner diameter options available. Fits everything from tiny electronics screws to larger hydraulic fittings and valves.
- 🎨 Multiple color choices – Black, red, white, clear, blue, yellow, green. Use color coding for different thread sizes or line identification. Other colors available on request.
- 💪 High hardness & strong toughness – Made from durable vinyl rubber that won’t crack or tear under normal use. Sturdy enough for industrial environments.
- ✨ Smooth, shiny surface – No rough edges. The uniform finish means even force distribution and no thread slippage when the cap is pushed on.
- 🧪 Wear & corrosion resistant – Stands up to extreme conditions, including moisture, mild chemicals, and temperature changes. Great for hydraulic pipe joints, oil cylinders, valves, and flanges.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions – Rubber Thread Cover Caps
1. How do I choose the correct size cap for my screw or rod?
Measure the outer diameter of the thread or rod end. Pick the cap with an inner diameter slightly smaller than your measurement (for a snug fit) or exactly the same (if the cap has some stretch). Rubber is flexible, so a cap rated for Φ6mm will stretch to fit a 6.2mm thread comfortably. If unsure, order one size down – the rubber will conform.
2. Are these caps reusable? Can I take them off and put them back on?
Yes – the vinyl rubber is elastic and durable. You can pull the cap off and push it onto another thread multiple times. Over many cycles, the material may eventually lose some grip, but for typical shop or home use, they last a long time.
3. Will these caps fit metric and imperial threads?
Absolutely. The cap grips the outer diameter, not the thread pitch. As long as the rod or bolt’s outer diameter matches (or is close to) the cap’s inner diameter, it will work. For imperial sizes, convert to mm: 1/8″ ≈ 3.2mm, 1/4″ ≈ 6.4mm, etc. Check our size list for the nearest mm equivalent.
4. Are clear caps really transparent? Can I see the thread underneath?
Yes – the clear version is translucent enough that you can see the thread or rod end through it. It’s not perfectly optical clear, but you can easily identify the part underneath. Great for when you need to inspect the thread without removing the cap.
5. Can I use these outdoors? Are they UV resistant?
The black and colored caps hold up well in outdoor conditions for several months. For long‑term direct sunlight exposure, we recommend black (which has better UV resistance). Clear caps may yellow slightly over time. All caps are resistant to rain and humidity but not designed for continuous submersion.
6. Do you sell mixed size packs or only individual sizes?
Currently we sell each size separately. If you need an assortment of diameters for a project, you can order multiple sizes. Contact customer service if you need a custom mixed pack – we may be able to arrange it.
