Three width/length formats are offered:

304 stainless steel generally has a tensile strength of around 515 MPa (≈75,000 psi). At very thin gauges (under 0.05mm), the foil is flexible and not intended for structural load-bearing — it functions as a shim, gasket, or spacer rather than a structural member. Thicker gauges (0.2–0.4mm) provide significantly more rigidity and are suitable for light-duty shims and spacers in mechanical assemblies.

304 stainless steel offers good corrosion resistance in most indoor and mildly humid outdoor environments. It is generally not recommended for prolonged exposure to saltwater, chloride-rich environments, or highly acidic conditions — 316 stainless steel is typically preferred for marine or chemical applications. For standard workshop, automotive, or HVAC use, 304 grade is generally sufficient.

Yes. These flat shim sheets are not threaded and work as spacers or shims alongside any fastener system — metric or imperial. All dimensions are listed in millimeters with inch equivalents provided. Yes. Thinner gauges (under 0.1mm) can typically be cut with sharp scissors or a craft knife on a cutting mat. Thicker gauges (0.2–0.4mm) generally require metal shears, a rotary cutter, or a nibbler tool. For precision shapes, laser cutting and CNC punching are also commonly used. Edges may be slightly sharp after cutting — deburring is recommended for hand-contact applications.

For light-duty gaskets and static seals, 0.05–0.15mm (≈0.002"–0.006") is typically sufficient. For higher-pressure applications or where more rigidity is needed to prevent blowout, 0.2–0.4mm (≈0.008"–0.016") is generally recommended.
