Barbed Hose Connector — Straight, Elbow, Tee, Cross & Multi-Way Splitter (2.4–32mm)

Measure the inner diameter (ID) of your hose. Barbed connectors are typically sized to match the hose ID — for example, a 6mm barb generally fits a hose with a 6mm inner diameter. When in doubt, size down slightly; a snug barb creates a better seal. For reducing connectors, the variant name shows both ends (e.g., "4-8mm" = 4mm on one end, 8mm on the other). As a quick reference: 6mm ≈ 1/4", 8mm ≈ 5/16", 10mm ≈ 3/8", 12mm ≈ 1/2".

Plastic barbed connectors are generally rated for low-to-medium pressure — typically up to 30–60 PSI depending on hose material, clamp use, and fluid temperature. For pressurized systems, we recommend using hose clamps over the barb. Avoid use in high-pressure hydraulic or steam applications.

These plastic barbed connectors are generally resistant to moisture and mild corrosion, making them suitable for garden irrigation, aquarium tubing, and outdoor fluid routing. Prolonged UV exposure may cause gradual degradation over time. For long-term outdoor use, inspect periodically and replace if cracking or brittleness is observed.

These connectors work with most flexible hose types including silicone tubing, vinyl/PVC hose, polyurethane tubing, and rubber hose. The barbed design creates a friction-fit seal without adhesive. For a more secure connection — especially in pressurized or vibration-prone systems — use a hose clamp over the barb after insertion.

Choose based on your routing needs:

• Straight Equal/Reducing — joins two hoses in a line, same or different diameter
• Elbow Reducing — redirects flow at roughly 90° between two hose sizes
• Y-Piece / Tee Reducing — splits one line into two branches
• Cross Equal — four-directional junction for equal-diameter hoses
• 4/5/6-Way Splitter — distributes one inlet to multiple outlets; ideal for irrigation manifolds or aquarium air distribution

No special tools are required. Simply push the barbed end firmly into the hose until it seats past the barb ridge. For a tighter fit, briefly warming the hose end in warm water softens the material and makes insertion easier. Hose clamps (sold separately) are recommended for pressurized applications.
