Measure the outer diameter of the wire or connector you need to cover, then select a tubing size that is typically 20–30% larger than that measurement before shrinking. For example, if your wire bundle is 4mm wide, a 5mm or 6mm tube generally provides a clean, secure fit after shrinking. Our range covers 0.6mm (≈0.024") up to 28mm (≈1.1") to suit most applications.

A 2:1 ratio means the tubing shrinks to approximately half its original inner diameter when heat is applied. For example, a 10mm tube will shrink down to roughly 5mm, forming a tight, protective sleeve around the substrate.

Polyolefin heat shrink tubing of this type generally begins to shrink at around 70–90°C (158–194°F) and fully recovers at approximately 120°C (248°F). A heat gun set to low or medium is typically sufficient. Avoid open flames, which can scorch or unevenly shrink the material.
