A2 stainless steel is the ISO designation for AISI 304 stainless — an austenitic grade with a tensile strength of typically 500–700 MPa (A2-70 property class). A2 stainless steel provides good corrosion resistance for outdoor, coastal, and mildly marine environments — generally suitable for above-waterline marine hardware, outdoor pipe supports, and agricultural equipment. These U-bolts use M12 metric coarse thread per ISO 261/262 (pitch typically 1.75mm). They are compatible with standard M12 hex nuts, flange nuts, and flat washers. They are not compatible with 1/2" UNC or UNF imperial threads — the thread pitch and diameter are different even though the nominal sizes are close.

The inside bend width of the U-bolt saddle determines the pipe OD it wraps around. This dimension varies by leg-length variant and is not the same as the leg length listed in the size option.
