These fittings are sized for 40mm OD (outside diameter) metric uPVC solvent-weld pressure pipe — the standard used in domestic cold-water plumbing, irrigation, and aquatic systems. They are not compatible with imperial-sized pipe or push-fit / compression systems. If you are unsure of your pipe's outside diameter, measure it with calipers before ordering.

Yes. Solvent weld fittings require a dedicated PVC solvent cement (also called solvent weld adhesive). The cement chemically fuses the pipe and fitting into a single piece. A primer/cleaner is recommended before applying cement to ensure a strong, leak-free bond. Solvent cement is sold separately and is not included with these fittings.

Select a standard socket (40mm × 40mm) when joining two pipes of the same diameter. Choose a reducing socket when you need to step down from a 40mm main run to a smaller branch — for example, a 40mm × 20mm reducing socket connects a 40mm main pipe to a 20mm branch line. The reducing size is always stated in the part name.

Standard uPVC fittings in this range are rated for cold-water service. The ball valve variant marked "5–55°C / 1.0MPa" can handle moderately warm water up to 55°C. For outdoor installations, prolonged direct UV exposure can cause uPVC to become brittle over time; painting or lagging exposed pipework is advisable. The thick-wall variants (listed as "Thick" in the part name, e.g., "90°Elbow(Thick)" or "Tee(Thick)") have a greater wall thickness than the standard fittings. This provides additional mechanical strength and is typically specified where the fitting may be subject to higher stress, vibration, or where a more robust joint is required.

Yes. The range includes dedicated fish-tank connectors (straight and 90° elbow) and fish-tank drainage fittings (straight and 90° elbow) designed for aquatic applications. The rigid uPVC material is inert once the solvent cement has fully cured (typically 24 hours before water contact), making it suitable for freshwater aquarium and pond plumbing.

Use the Packing QTY option to choose how many pieces you need. Single pieces (QTY 1) are ideal for repairs or small jobs; multi-packs (2, 3, 4, 5, 10, or 20 depending on the part) offer a lower per-unit cost for larger installations or trade use.
