🔹 Does the LED strip come with batteries?
No, batteries are not included. This product is sold without batteries. Each strip comes with a standard 5V USB / battery lead connector. You will need to supply your own power source:  a separate battery holder with AA/AAA batteries (not included). This gives you the flexibility to choose the power source that best fits your project.
🔹 Can I cut the light strip to a custom length?
Absolutely. This flexible 5V LED tape is designed with cut marks every 3 LEDs (approximately every 2 inches / 50mm). Simply cut along the marked copper pads with scissors. The remaining pieces can be reconnected using soldering or solderless connectors (not included). Perfect for precise craft sizing.
🔹 How strong is the adhesive? Will it fall off over time?
The strip uses a high-tack, heat-resistant 3M-style acrylic adhesive. For best results, clean the surface with rubbing alcohol and let it dry completely before application. Avoid dusty or oily surfaces. Once applied and pressed firmly for 30 seconds, it holds securely on glass, plastic, wood, and metal. For permanent installations, additional mounting clips are optional but rarely needed.
🔹 Is this light strip safe for toys and children’s projects?
Yes — 5V low voltage is extremely safe, generating no heat hazard and no risk of electric shock. The entire strip is encapsulated with soft silicone/resin coating, and the LED chips stay cool to the touch even after hours of use. Ideal for stuffed animal light-up features, dollhouse lighting, costume props, and educational STEM crafts. Adult supervision is suggested during installation.
🔹 How do I control the dimming function?
The inline button controller (attached to the wire) offers simple one-button dimming. Press and hold the button to cycle through brightness levels (typically 4-5 steps from low to high). Short-press to turn on/off. No remote or smartphone app needed — just intuitive manual control for instant ambiance changes.
🔹 Can I connect multiple strips to cover a longer distance?
Yes, but within power limits. Since it runs on 5V, the maximum recommended run length without voltage drop is about 3 meters (9.8 ft). For longer runs, we recommend power injection or using a higher gauge wire between segments. You can also purchase a 5V amplifier separately. For most craft projects under 2 meters, a single strip works perfectly.
