The ABS plastic handle and aluminum ferrule are generally resistant to moisture and mild chemicals. The wool bristles are noted as acid-alkali resistant, making them suitable for varied environments. However, prolonged exposure to high humidity or direct liquid contact is not recommended — allow the brush to dry fully if it gets wet before storing.

The bristles are described as dense, flat-set, and resistant to shedding and deformation. The aluminum ferrule crimps the bristle base securely to minimize fallout during use. In most cases, with normal use, shedding is minimal — though like any natural-fiber brush, occasional very light shedding may occur with heavy use.
