Return & Refund Policy

This policy applies to orders shipped to the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the European Union. Specific terms may vary by country/region. Please see details below.

1. Return Window

  • Standard Returns: Within 30 days of receiving your item.

  • EU Statutory Right: For orders shipped to the European Union, you have the legal right to cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of receiving the goods.

2. Eligibility

To be eligible for a return, your item must be:

  • Unused, unworn, and in its original condition (with all tags and original packaging intact).

  • Accompanied by a valid proof of purchase (order number or confirmation email).

The following items are non-returnable:

  • Perishable goods (food, flowers, plants)

  • Custom or personalized products

  • Personal care items (beauty products)

  • Hazardous materials (flammable liquids, gases)

  • Sale items or gift cards

3. How to Initiate a Return

  1. Contact Us: Email service@homediyer.com within the return window.

  2. Provide Details: Include your order number, item details, and reason for return.

  3. Await Authorization: Do NOT ship the item back without prior approval. Unauthorized returns may not be accepted.

  4. Receive Instructions: If your return is approved, we will email you detailed instructions and a prepaid return label (where applicable).

4. Return Shipping & Fees

Responsibility for return shipping costs depends on the reason for the return:

  • We Cover Shipping: For returns due to defective, damaged, or incorrect items, we will provide a prepaid return label.

  • Customer Covers Shipping: For returns due to change of mind, sizing, or mistaken order, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

Restocking Fee:

  • A 5% restocking/packaging fee will be deducted from the refund amount for non-EU returns due to a change of mind.

  • This fee is not applicable to returns from the EU under its statutory cancellation right.

5. Special Terms for Canadian Customers

To ensure clarity, the following terms apply specifically to returns from Canada:

  • Return Address: Please use the dedicated Canadian address provided in Section 6.

  • Shipping & Timing: Returns from Canada are considered international. Please allow additional time for cross-border transit. We will process your refund within 10 business days of receiving and inspecting the returned item at our facility.

  • Refund Posting: Refunds will be issued to your original payment method. International refund processing may take longer, typically 5-15 business days to appear in your account after being issued, depending on your financial institution.

7. Refunds

  • Processing Time: We will process your refund within 3 business days of receiving and inspecting the returned item at our warehouse.

  • Refund Method: Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the order.

  • Bank Processing Time: After the refund is issued, please allow time for your bank or payment processor to complete the transaction. This typically takes 3-15 business days.

  • Issues? If your refund has not posted after 15 business days from the issue date, please contact us at service@homediyer.com.

8. Damaged or Defective Items

Please inspect your order upon delivery. If you receive a damaged or defective item, contact us immediately (within 48 hours is recommended) at service@homediyer.com. Please provide photo evidence and your order details for assistance.

9. Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges. To get a different item, please return the original item for a refund following the process above, then place a new order for the desired item.

10. Specific Rights for EU Consumers

Under EU law, for orders shipped to EU member states, you have the right to cancel your contract within 14 days of receiving the goods without giving any reason.

  • Standard eligibility conditions (unused, original packaging, proof of purchase) still apply.

  • You will not be charged any fees or required to justify returns within this legal cancellation period.
