Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Place the Magnet

Snap the small neodymium magnet directly onto the center of your hammer's striking face.

Step 2: Build the Tape Mold

Wrap tape tightly around the perimeter of the hammer head. Let the tape extend 5 to 8 mm above the face to create a secure, cup-like temporary mold.

Step 3: Pour the Hot Glue

Fill the tape mold continuously with hot melt glue until the neodymium magnet is completely submerged and the glue reaches the top edge of the tape.

Step 4: Let It Cure

Keep the hammer level and let the glue cool completely for 5 to 10 minutes until it turns solid and firm.

Step 5: Release and Remove

Peel off the tape. Pull the newly formed cap off to check the magnetic hold, snap it back on, and start your damage-free woodworking.
