Materials List
- Hammer
- Door hinges
- Electric screwdriver
- Small plastic expansion tubes

Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Remove the Hinge
Use an electric screwdriver to back out all the screws from the loose hinge and take it off. Inspect the wood screw holes that have become loose or enlarged and deformed.
Step 2: Insert the Expansion Tubes
Take a small plastic expansion tube (wall anchor) and push it straight into the enlarged and deformed wood hole.
Step 3: Hammer and Flush-Cut
Gently tap the expansion tube with a hammer until it is completely seated inside the hole, ensuring the surface is flush and flat.
Step 4: Re-install the Hinge
Align the hinge back to its original position, insert the screws through the hinge holes, and drive them directly into the newly plugged holes. As the screws go in, the tubes expand under pressure inside the wood holes, creating a very tight and secure bite.
See, it's just that simple! Next time you encounter loose woodwork or a sagging cabinet door at home, don't waste money hiring a repairman. Get your tools ready, and let's try doing it yourself today!
