3:1 Heat Shrink Tubing — Reliable Electrical Insulation from Φ1.5mm to Φ50mm
Whether you're repairing automotive wiring, organizing a home electrical panel, or protecting marine cable runs, exposed or poorly insulated wires are a safety hazard and a frustration. DIYers, electricians, and hobbyists alike need a sleeving solution that conforms tightly, covers a wide range of wire sizes, and holds up over time — without the bulk of adhesive-lined tubing when a dry-wall fit is all that's needed.
This 3:1 heat shrink tubing is made from flexible polyolefin and is available in ten diameters — Φ1.5mm (≈0.06"), Φ3mm (≈0.12"), Φ4.5mm (≈0.18"), Φ6mm (≈0.24"), Φ9mm (≈0.35"), Φ12mm (≈0.47"), Φ15mm (≈0.59"), Φ18mm (≈0.71"), Φ24mm (≈0.94"), Φ30mm (≈1.18"), Φ39mm (≈1.54"), and Φ50mm (≈1.97") — in lengths of 1M (≈3.3 ft), 2M (≈6.6 ft), 5M (≈16.4 ft), 8M (≈26.2 ft), and 10M (≈32.8 ft). With a 3:1 shrink ratio, each tube shrinks to approximately one-third of its supplied inner diameter upon heat application.
Typical use cases include insulating and bundling automotive wiring harnesses, protecting solder joints and terminal connections in home electrical projects, sleeving marine and outdoor cable runs where mechanical abrasion resistance is needed, and organizing multi-conductor wire bundles in electronics repair and DIY builds.
