Use a PVC solvent cement rated for uPVC pressure pipe — typically a medium-bodied grey or clear formulation. Apply primer to both the pipe end and fitting socket, then apply cement and push the pipe in with a quarter-turn. Hold for 30 seconds and allow the joint to cure for at least 15 minutes before pressure-testing. Solvent cement is sold separately.

These fittings are designed for cold-water pressure applications. uPVC retains its rated pressure capacity up to approximately 60°C; above that, the material softens and pressure rating drops significantly. For hot-water or central-heating systems, use CPVC or copper fittings instead.
