🔘 M3 x 6mm Knurled Thumb Screws – Anodised Aluminium Hand Grip Knob Bolts (Flat Head, Colour Options)

You’re building a small electronics enclosure, securing a PC fan, or adding a custom touch to a 3D printer – and you need a tiny thumbscrew that looks good and works without tools. These M3 x 6mm knurled thumb screws are machined from lightweight 6061 aluminium with a flat, low‑profile knurled head. The diamond knurling gives you a secure fingertip grip, and the anodised finish adds a durable, colourful accent. Fully threaded with a 6mm stud length (under head). Available in multiple colours (black, red, blue, gold, etc.) – select from dropdown. Ideal for tool‑less fastening on PC cases, camera accessories, RC models, and any small‑scale DIY project.

✨ Key Features – M3 x 6mm Aluminium Thumb Screws

  • 🔘 Flat knurled head – Low‑profile design with diamond knurling for a secure, non‑slip grip by hand.
  • ⚖️ Lightweight 6061 aluminium – About 1/3 the weight of steel. Non‑magnetic and thermally conductive.
  • 🎨 Anodised colour options – Available in multiple colours (black, red, blue, gold, etc.) – add a custom look to your build.
  • 🛡️ Corrosion‑resistant finish – Anodising protects against oxidation and wear, keeping the screws looking fresh.
  • 📏 M3 metric thread (3mm diameter, 0.5mm pitch) – Perfect for small electronics, PC components, and hobby gear.
  • 📐 6mm fully threaded stud (under head) – Thread runs the entire length under the head for maximum grip in tapped holes or with nuts.
  • 🔧 Versatile use – Computer case side panels, 3D printer bed leveling, camera rigs, RC models, and small DIY fixtures.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions – M3 x 6mm Aluminium Thumb Screws

1. How do I measure the length of this thumb screw?

The length (6mm) is measured from the underside of the head (where the knurling meets the shaft) to the tip of the threaded stud. The head itself is NOT included. This 6mm stud is ideal for thin panels or shallow tapped holes.

2. Is the screw fully threaded? Can I use it with a nut?

Yes – it is fully threaded from under the head to the tip. If you need to fasten through a plain hole, use an M3 metric nut (0.5mm pitch). For pre‑tapped M3 holes, no nut is needed.

3. Will the anodised colour fade or scratch?

Anodising is a durable electrochemical finish that bonds to the aluminium. It resists scratches and fading far better than paint. Normal hand use will not remove the colour.

4. Can I use these screws outdoors? Will they rust?

Aluminium naturally forms a protective oxide layer, and anodising adds extra corrosion resistance. They are suitable for indoor and light outdoor use. For continuous saltwater or harsh chemical environments, choose stainless steel thumb screws.

5. What colours are available? How do I choose?

We offer a range of anodised colours (black, silver, red, blue, gold, green, etc.). Please select your preferred colour from the dropdown. Custom colours available on request.

6. Can I get other thread lengths or sizes (e.g., M4, M5)?

Yes – we offer custom lengths and other thread diameters. Please contact us with your requirements.
