The chain is fine...but I ordered the wrong size. Nine links of the chain I ordered equals six of the size I wanted. My error...
How can I straighten out the springs? I can't use them coil uo as is.

When standard steel bearings create too much friction, noise, or corrosion risk in your build, POM plastic deep groove ball bearings offer a lightweight, non-metallic alternative that keeps things rolling smoothly. Whether you are a maker, hobbyist, or maintenance technician, these bearings are engineered to handle radial loads in applications where metal bearings would corrode, seize, or add unnecessary weight.
Each bearing features a POM (polyoxymethylene) plastic outer and inner ring with glass or stainless steel balls, depending on the selected model. Sizes span from miniature 3×7×2mm (approx. 0.12×0.28×0.08 in) up to large-format 80×125×22mm (approx. 3.15×4.92×0.87 in), covering models in the 600, 620, 623–629, 634–638, 680–689, 690, 6800–6812, 6900–6912, and 6000–6016 series. Open, single-seal (RS), and double-seal (2RS) configurations are available across the range.
Typical use cases include 3D printer carriage assemblies requiring low-friction linear motion, RC vehicle wheel hubs where corrosion resistance matters, food-adjacent or wet-environment machinery where metal contamination is a concern, and lightweight drone or robotics pivot joints where every gram counts.

Match the three dimensions shown in the Size option: bore diameter × outer diameter × width (all in mm). Measure your shaft diameter for the bore (ID), your housing bore for the outer diameter (OD), and the available axial space for the width. Cross-reference with the Model number (e.g., 608 = 8×22×7mm) to confirm before ordering.
Open bearings have no seals — lowest friction and drag, but exposed to dust and moisture. RS (single rubber seal) covers one side, offering partial protection. 2RS (double rubber seal) seals both sides, keeping lubricant in and contaminants out. For dusty or wet environments, choose 2RS; for clean, speed-critical applications, open or RS may be preferable.
POM bearings have lower load capacity than equivalent steel bearings. They are designed for light-to-moderate radial loads in applications where corrosion resistance, electrical insulation, or weight reduction is more important than maximum load rating. For heavy industrial loads, steel bearings are recommended.
Yes. The POM plastic rings are inherently corrosion-resistant and will not rust. Models with stainless steel balls (RS, 2RS, and Stainless Steel Ball variants) offer full corrosion resistance throughout. Open glass-ball models are also corrosion-resistant in the rings, though glass balls should be kept away from strong alkalis.
These bearings are well-suited for 3D printers, RC vehicles, drones, robotics joints, conveyor rollers, food-adjacent machinery, medical equipment, and any application requiring a non-metallic, lightweight, or electrically non-conductive bearing. They are not recommended for high-temperature environments or heavy shock loads.
The 1 Pcs option is ideal for prototyping, single-unit repairs, or testing fit before committing to a larger quantity. The 10 Pcs pack offers a lower per-unit cost and is suited for production runs, batch builds, or keeping spares on hand. Both options ship the same bearing — only the quantity differs.
POM plastic rings resist water and many common chemicals. For wet environments, we recommend the 2RS (double-sealed) variants to prevent water ingress around the balls. Fully submerged continuous operation is not a typical use case — contact us to confirm suitability for your specific application.
