Description

🎻 German‑Style Violin Fine Tuners – For 4/4 & 3/4, Wide & Narrow Mouth (Black or Gold)

Tired of wrestling with sticky pegs or micro‑adjusting with your ears only? These violin fine tuners let you dial in perfect pitch quickly and reliably. Choose narrow mouth (for E string) or wide mouth (for A/D/G strings). Each tuner is made with German‑inspired craftsmanship – smooth edges, non‑slip screws, and a black or gold plated finish. Sold individually or as a set of 4 (three wide + one narrow). Perfect for 4/4 and 3/4 violins, whether you’re a student, teacher, or weekend player.

🔧 Why These Fine Tuners Stand Out

Two mouth widths for perfect string fit – Narrow mouth (approx. 5mm) is specially designed for the thinner E string. Wide mouth (approx. 8mm) fits A, D, and G strings. No more slipping or misalignment.

German‑inspired engineering – Advanced threading technology ensures the screw turns smoothly without seizing or slipping after repeated adjustments. The lever stays put.

Smooth, hand‑safe edges – Every edge is polished. No sharp burrs to scratch your fingers or the tailpiece during tuning.

Black or gold plated finish – Choose your look. Black gives a modern, stealth aesthetic; gold adds classic elegance. Both resist corrosion and match most tailpieces.

Easy three‑part assembly – Each tuner comes in three pieces: base, lever, and screw. Simple to install on any standard violin tailpiece (no tools required for basic fitting).

Buy as singles or a complete set – Replace just the E string tuner or all four. The 4‑piece set gives you three wide mouths (A/D/G) and one narrow mouth (E) – exactly what you need.

💡 Installation tip: Start by installing one narrow tuner on the E string. Add wide tuners on A, D, G as you like. Most players use all four for the most convenient fine tuning.

💬 Frequently Asked Questions – Violin Fine Tuners

Will these fit my 3/4 size violin? Or only 4/4?
They fit both 4/4 and 3/4 violins. The mounting hole spacing on standard tailpieces is the same for these sizes. Just make sure your tailpiece has pre‑drilled holes (most do). If you have a 1/2 or smaller violin, these may be too large – please measure first.
What’s the difference between narrow mouth and wide mouth?
Narrow mouth is specifically for the E string, which is much thinner than the other strings. Wide mouth fits A, D, and G strings. Using a narrow mouth on a thick string can cause the string to bind or not seat correctly; using a wide mouth on the E string may let the string slip out. Our sets include the correct mix: 3 wide + 1 narrow.
Do I need to remove my tailpiece to install these?
No. Standard fine tuners drop into the existing holes of a tailpiece. You just unscrew the old tuner (or remove the plastic plug if your tailpiece has none), insert the new one from the top, and secure the small nut from underneath. A small wrench or pliers may help, but many can be finger‑tightened.
Why are there sometimes white spots on the surface?
Due to the fine polishing process used during manufacturing, some units may show tiny white specks under bright light. This is not paint peeling or a defect – it’s a harmless residue that doesn’t affect function. It may even rub off with use. Rest assured, these are genuine products from our factory batch.
Will these fine tuners work with synthetic gut strings (e.g., Dominants, Evah Pirazzi)?
Yes. They work perfectly with steel core, synthetic core, and even some gut strings (with ball ends). The wide mouth accommodates the thicker winding of A/D/G synthetic strings. For plain gut E strings without a ball end, you may need a different style – these are designed for ball‑end strings.
The screw feels a little stiff at first – is that normal?
Yes, new fine tuners often need a little “break‑in.” The German‑style threading is precise and may feel tight initially. After a few adjustments, it will smooth out. If it’s completely stuck, check for debris. We guarantee the screw will not slip or cross‑thread under normal use.
