Match the fitting's nominal diameter to your pipe's outer diameter (OD). For example, a 32 mm fitting accepts pipe with a 32 mm OD. If you are unsure, measure the outside of the pipe with calipers — do not measure the bore. Available sizes here are 20, 25, 32, 40, 50, 75, 110, 160, 200, and 250 mm.

The standard 90° elbow is a plain direction-change fitting. The inspection-cap elbow (Revisionsklappe) adds a removable screw cap on the elbow body for access to concealed pipework. The connector elbow (Verbindungsstück) is designed to join two pipe sections at 90° where a coupling is needed at the bend. The tank-connector elbow (Tankanschluss) has a threaded or flanged end for direct connection to a tank wall or bulkhead fitting.

These are rigid PVC fittings intended for cold and ambient-temperature service — typically up to around 60 °C (140 °F) under low pressure. They are not rated for continuous hot-water supply (e.g. domestic hot water above 60 °C or heating circuits). For hot-water applications, consider CPVC or polypropylene fittings instead.

Rigid PVC has inherent resistance to corrosion, rust, and most common chemicals found in water supply and drainage applications. For outdoor installations, UV exposure over time can cause surface chalking on standard PVC; painting with a UV-stable exterior paint or using grey conduit-grade PVC where available will extend service life. The fittings are not affected by moisture or soil contact.

Use a PVC solvent cement rated for the pipe material and application (e.g. a medium-bodied all-purpose PVC cement for drainage, or a low-VOC pressure-rated cement for supply lines). Clean and dry both surfaces, apply a thin even coat of cement to the pipe spigot and fitting socket, push together with a slight twist, and hold for 30 seconds. Allow the joint to cure per the cement manufacturer's instructions before pressurising — typically 15 minutes for handling and 24 hours for full pressure.

Colour is a visual identification convention, not a performance difference. White is common for visible domestic plumbing and above-ground installations. Blue is widely used to identify cold-water supply lines. Grey is standard for drainage, waste, and concealed pipework. All three colours are the same rigid PVC material with the same solvent-weld socket geometry — choose the colour that matches your existing pipework or local identification convention.

For a single repair or one-off junction, the 1-piece option avoids leftover stock. For a small installation with a few direction changes, 2 or 5 pieces typically cover a room or zone. For larger projects — full bathroom rough-ins, greenhouse irrigation loops, or rainwater downpipe networks — the 10-piece pack offers a lower per-unit cost. Check the price-per-piece across pack sizes before ordering; larger packs carry a volume discount.
