Measure the circumference of your battery pack, then divide by 2 to get the minimum flat width required. For example, a pack with a 200mm circumference needs at least a 100mm flat width — so the 103mm (Φ65mm) size would be the closest fit. Always size up by 5–10mm so the tube slides on easily before heat is applied. If your pack is rectangular, measure around the widest cross-section.

PVC heat shrink tubing typically has a 2:1 shrink ratio, meaning the inner diameter shrinks to approximately half its pre-shrink size when fully heated. For example, the 103mm flat width (Φ65mm inner diameter) will generally shrink down to around Φ32mm. Actual shrink performance may vary slightly by size — contact us to confirm for your specific variant.

This PVC tubing generally activates at 70°C–105°C (158°F–221°F). A standard heat gun on a low or medium setting works well. Move the heat gun evenly along the tube to avoid hot spots. Avoid open flames — they can cause uneven shrinking, scorching, or damage to the battery cells underneath.

This PVC heat shrink tubing provides basic moisture resistance suitable for indoor RC use and short-term outdoor exposure in dry or light-rain conditions. It is not rated for full waterproofing or continuous submersion. For boats, crawlers used in wet terrain, or other demanding outdoor applications, consider adhesive-lined (dual-wall) heat shrink tubing for a sealed finish.

The Blue variant is opaque and gives a clean, finished appearance that conceals the internal cell arrangement — ideal for competition builds or when you want a uniform look. The Clear variant is transparent, allowing the battery cells, labels, and wiring to remain visible through the wrap. Clear is popular for inspection builds or when you want to retain the original cell branding.

Yes. The tubing is sold in 1m, 2m, 5m, and 10m lengths and can be cut with standard scissors or a utility knife before applying heat. Cut the tube approximately 10–15mm longer than your battery pack on each end to allow for end overlap after shrinking. The tubing does not unravel when cut.
