Use a standard uPVC solvent cement (also called PVC glue or solvent weld adhesive) that is compatible with rigid PVC. Clean and lightly abrade both the pipe end and the fitting socket, apply a thin, even coat of cement to both surfaces, push the pipe firmly into the socket with a slight twist, and hold for 30 seconds. Allow the joint to cure fully before pressurising — typically 15–30 minutes for handling and 24 hours for full pressure.

Rigid uPVC is rated for cold-water service, typically up to 60 °C (140 °F) at reduced pressure. It is not recommended for continuous hot-water supply above this temperature. For hot-water applications, consider CPVC or other heat-rated materials instead.
