The chain is fine...but I ordered the wrong size. Nine links of the chain I ordered equals six of the size I wanted. My error...
How can I straighten out the springs? I can't use them coil uo as is.

When your build demands reliable rotation in a compact footprint, undersized or mismatched bearings cause wobble, premature wear, and costly rework. Engineers, hobbyists, and makers working on RC vehicles, robotics, 3D printers, and precision instruments need small deep groove ball bearings that hold tight tolerances without adding bulk. These S603Z–S609Z miniature bearings are engineered for exactly that use case.
Each bearing features a deep groove raceway design with a single metal shield (Z suffix) to retain grease and exclude light debris. Available in three material grades — 440 Stainless Steel, 304 Stainless Steel, and Bearing Steel — with bore diameters ranging from 3 mm to 9 mm (approx. 0.118 in to 0.354 in) and outer diameters from 9 mm to 24 mm (approx. 0.354 in to 0.945 in). Width ranges from 5 mm to 7 mm (approx. 0.197 in to 0.276 in). Sold in quantities of 1, 5, 10, or 50 pieces per order.
Typical applications include RC car wheel axles and steering pivots, brushless motor shaft support in drones and power tools, linear rail carriage assemblies in CNC routers and 3D printers, and miniature gearbox shaft support in robotics and automation equipment — anywhere a small deep groove ball bearing with low friction and consistent radial load capacity is required.
Choose 440 Stainless Steel for corrosion resistance in wet or outdoor environments, 304 Stainless Steel for food-adjacent or chemical-exposure applications, or Bearing Steel for maximum hardness and load capacity in dry, controlled conditions.
Bore diameters 3–9 mm, OD 9–24 mm, width 5–7 mm — matching standard S603Z through S609Z dimensional specifications for drop-in replacement or new-build compatibility.
The Z-suffix metal shield on one side retains factory grease and blocks coarse contaminants, extending service life in dusty or lightly humid environments without significantly increasing drag.
The deep groove geometry handles both radial and moderate axial (thrust) loads, making these small deep groove ball bearings versatile across a wide range of rotational applications.
Order 1, 5, 10, or 50 pieces per SKU — ideal for prototyping single units, stocking a small workshop, or fulfilling bulk repair and production runs without overpaying for excess inventory.
Precision-ground raceways and balls deliver consistent, low-vibration rotation suitable for noise-sensitive applications such as brushless motors, servo mechanisms, and optical equipment mounts.

Match the bore diameter (ID) to your shaft diameter and the outer diameter (OD) to your housing bore. S603Z fits a 3 mm shaft in a 9 mm housing; S604Z fits 4 mm / 12 mm; S605Z fits 5 mm / 14 mm; S606Z fits 6 mm / 17 mm; S607Z fits 7 mm / 19 mm; S608Z fits 8 mm / 22 mm; S609Z fits 9 mm / 24 mm. Always verify both ID and OD before ordering.
440 Stainless Steel offers a balance of corrosion resistance and hardness, making it suitable for wet, outdoor, or mildly corrosive environments. 304 Stainless Steel provides superior corrosion resistance for food-adjacent or chemical-exposure settings but is slightly softer. Bearing Steel (typically GCr15 equivalent) delivers the highest hardness and load capacity but is best suited for dry, controlled environments where corrosion is not a concern.
The Z suffix indicates a single metal shield on one side of the bearing. A shield is a non-contact metal plate that retains grease and blocks coarse particles without touching the inner ring, resulting in lower friction than a rubber seal. These are shielded, not fully sealed — they are not suitable for full submersion or high-pressure washdown environments.
Deep groove ball bearings can accommodate moderate axial loads in addition to their primary radial load capacity. For applications with predominantly axial loading, a dedicated thrust bearing is recommended. For mixed radial and light axial loads — common in RC motors, servo shafts, and small gearboxes — these bearings perform well.
Common applications include RC car and truck wheel axles, brushless motor shaft support in drones and power tools, 3D printer carriage and extruder assemblies, CNC router linear rail carriages, robotics joint and gearbox shafts, fishing reel mechanisms, and miniature electric motor end caps. Any application requiring smooth, low-friction rotation on a small shaft benefits from this series.
Each variant is sold as a single size in quantities of 1, 5, 10, or 50 pieces. Select your desired bearing size (ID*OD*Width) and quantity from the options above. To order multiple sizes, add each size as a separate item to your cart.
These bearings come factory-greased and are ready to install without additional lubrication in most standard applications. For high-speed or high-temperature applications, you may wish to clean and re-pack with a grease appropriate for your operating conditions. Avoid over-greasing, which can increase drag and heat.
