For applications where the finish is visible, handle sheets with clean gloves and keep the protective film (if supplied) in place until installation is complete. Minor surface marks can often be buffed out with a stainless steel polish compound applied along the grain direction.

Yes. Grade 304 stainless steel is compatible with A2 or A4 stainless screws, rivets, and bolts. For bonding, use a structural adhesive rated for metal-to-metal applications (e.g. epoxy or MS polymer). Avoid carbon steel fixings in contact with the sheet surface, as dissimilar metal contact can cause staining over time.

Price reflects the total surface area of steel in each variant. Larger sheets contain significantly more material — a 450×450mm sheet has over 80 times the area of a 50×50mm piece — so the per-sheet cost scales accordingly. These sheets are weldable using TIG or MIG processes with a 308L or 316L filler rod (308L is standard for 304 base metal). Before welding, degrease the joint area with acetone or a dedicated stainless cleaner to remove any oils from handling. Avoid using carbon steel wire brushes on the weld area — use stainless-dedicated brushes to prevent contamination and rust spotting.
