TC Oil Seal NBR Double Lip Rotary Shaft Seal — ID 51–55mm

Match the seal's Inner Diameter (ID) to your shaft diameter, the Outer Diameter (OD) to your housing bore, and the Thickness to the housing depth. TC designates a double-lip seal design: the primary lip retains lubricant (oil-side), while the secondary lip acts as a dust/dirt excluder (air-side). Single-lip (SC) seals have only the primary lip. In most cases, TC seals are preferred for applications where contamination ingress is a concern — such as agricultural equipment, outdoor machinery, or wet environments.

TC skeleton oil seals are generally designed for low-pressure dynamic sealing — typically up to 0.3 bar (≈4.4 psi). They are not suitable for high-pressure hydraulic circuits. If your application involves elevated pressure, contact us to confirm suitability or consider a different seal type.

NBR rubber generally performs well in wet conditions and resists water, oils, and mild chemicals. However, NBR is not recommended for prolonged direct UV exposure or ozone-rich environments, as it can degrade over time. For extreme outdoor or chemical exposure, FKM (Viton) seals are typically a better choice. For standard outdoor machinery (tractors, pumps), NBR is generally adequate.

Under normal lubricated conditions, NBR TC oil seals are typically rated for shaft surface speeds up to approximately 4–6 m/s. NBR is generally compatible with mineral oils, hydraulic fluids (petroleum-based), water, diesel fuel, and most petroleum-based lubricants.
