Match the cap size to your pipe's outer diameter (OD). For example, a 50 mm cap fits a pipe with a 50 mm OD. If you are unsure, measure the outside of the pipe with a tape measure or vernier caliper before ordering. Standard domestic waste pipes are typically 32 mm (basin), 40 mm (bath/shower), or 50 mm (soil branch), while soil stacks are usually 110 mm.
