Match the fitting's inner diameter (ID) to your pipe's outer diameter (OD). For standard thin-wall PVC pipe, the pipe OD typically equals the fitting ID. These fittings are moulded from rigid PVC and use a solvent-weld joint, which is inherently strong. However, the pressure rating depends on pipe schedule, solvent cement quality, and cure time. For pressurised supply applications, confirm the pressure rating with us before ordering and always follow local plumbing codes.

Solvent cement is not included. Use a PVC-rated solvent cement (and PVC primer where required by local code). Apply primer to both the pipe end and fitting socket, then apply cement, push the pipe fully into the socket with a slight twist, and hold for approximately 30 seconds. Allow the joint to cure fully before pressurising.

Rigid PVC is inherently corrosion-resistant and does not rust, scale, or pit like metal fittings. It is compatible with most household water, drainage fluids, and mild irrigation chemicals. For aggressive chemical environments (solvents, concentrated acids, or high-temperature fluids), verify chemical compatibility before use.
