Select a diameter that is slightly larger than the object you need to cover before shrinking. For example, if your wire bundle measures 3mm, choose the 4mm or 5mm variant. After shrinking at a 2:1 ratio, the tubing will typically reduce to about half its original diameter, forming a snug fit. When in doubt, size up — you can always shrink tighter, but you cannot stretch tubing that is too small.

This tubing uses a 2:1 shrink ratio, meaning it will shrink to approximately half its original inner diameter when heat is applied. For example, a 6mm tube will generally shrink down to around 3mm.

This polyolefin heat shrink tubing typically activates at around 70–90°C (158–194°F) and fully shrinks at approximately 120°C (248°F). A heat gun is the recommended tool. A lighter or match can work in a pinch but may cause uneven shrinkage or scorching.

For example, red is commonly used for positive leads, green for ground or signal wires, white for neutral, and clear when you want the underlying wire color to remain visible.

Each variant is sold as 1-meter lengths. The quantity per order (e.g., 5PCS, 10PCS, 20PCS) refers to how many 1-meter pieces are included. For example, selecting "1M & 10PCS" gives you ten individual 1-meter tubes of the chosen diameter and color.
