The adhesive is strong enough for years of normal use. However, for best results, clean the surface with rubbing alcohol or a degreaser before sticking ā this removes dust and oils that weaken adhesion. Once pressed firmly, they resist daily wiping and moderate humidity. They are not designed for outdoor use in direct rain.
Yes ā you can carefully peel off the cap using a plastic pry tool or your fingernail. If the adhesive leaves residue, remove it with rubbing alcohol or a mild adhesive remover (test on an inconspicuous area first). The caps are not designed for reuse after removal.
