Hardware is good quality. I like the hex head for self-drilling screws as it is less likely to strip out vs Phillips head, square head, etc. But it is obviously not as low profile a head so not for all applications. The storage case also is decent and has a clear legend on the top to tell which size is which. They ship with a piece of foam inside the lid to keep everything organized during shipping, a definite plus for sets like this one.

Ordered these to have around the house for various DIY projects. There are 260 pieces - enough to last me a lifetime! I love the container, which is rugged enough to toss in a toolbox while at the same time keeping everything organized. The screws are on par with others I have purchased from big box hardware stores, with a sharp point, uniform threads, and head height appropriate for the diameter. I tested a M4.2x25mm screw to see how it would perform. I successfully drove the screw into a steel shelving unit frame. The screw stayed on center without wobbling. I took it slow with moderate pressure and the screw performed flawlessly. Highly recommend!

This is a sweet little set of self-tapping screws. Yes, they are truly self-tapping with a drill bit tip, not just a sharp tip. So many screws nowadays are advertised as self-tapping, but they are just sharp tips. They don’t have a tip that actually cuts the materials and opens a hole. A sharp point may penetrate, but it will be more likely to cause a split. The style of tip that these screws uses is less prone to do that. The set has a great variety of sizes and plenty of them. Everything is organized in a nice plastic case with a section for each size. The screws have a hex head and I like that for more control and less chance of stripping. This is a good set to keep on-hand and it is a good value.

I recently undertook the project to change my HVAC and these were a god send saving me at every step when dealing with custom ductwork. Love the self tapping capability. Keep in mind through it may not be easy to take advantage of self tapping unless you have right power tool as manual wrench will most likely need you to pre-drill thereby defeating the self tapping feature.

There has been a couple of times now that I have received a product that had self tapping screws of poor quality and I end up having to get some from elsewhere just to finish that project or product. It has happened to more than one car accessory. This comes with a decent assortment and they have pretty decent quality, I did not have any issue stripping any.
