The chain is fine...but I ordered the wrong size. Nine links of the chain I ordered equals six of the size I wanted. My error...
How can I straighten out the springs? I can't use them coil uo as is.

When your project demands reliable electrical conductivity, thermal performance, or a clean surface for laser engraving, finding the right copper sheet in the exact size you need can be a real challenge. Whether you are a maker, hobbyist, electronics technician, or small workshop operator, these T2 copper metal plates are cut to your chosen dimensions so you can get straight to work without waste or extra machining.
Each plate is made from 99.9% pure T2 copper — a commercially pure grade known for its excellent conductivity and workability. Sizes range from compact 10 × 10 mm (approx. 0.39 × 0.39 in) up to 180 × 180 mm (approx. 7.09 × 7.09 in), with rectangular options such as 50 × 100 mm, 50 × 200 mm, 100 × 150 mm, and 100 × 200 mm also available. Thickness options span from ultra-thin 0.3 mm foil-weight sheets through to solid 6 mm plate stock. Packs are offered in quantities of 1, 2, or 4 pieces depending on the size selected.
These copper plates are well suited for DIY electrical bus bars and grounding straps, RF shielding and Faraday cage panels, heat spreader applications in electronics cooling, laser engraving and etching artwork, jewellery making and metalsmithing, and custom gasket or shim fabrication in small workshops.
T2-grade copper delivers outstanding electrical conductivity (typically ≥58 MS/m) and thermal conductivity, making it the go-to choice for electrical and thermal management applications.
Choose from square sizes (10 × 10 mm to 180 × 180 mm) and rectangular sizes (50 × 100 mm, 50 × 200 mm, 100 × 150 mm, 100 × 200 mm) to match your exact project requirements.
Available in 0.3 mm, 0.5 mm, 0.6 mm, 0.8 mm, 1 mm, 1.2 mm, 1.5 mm, 2 mm, 2.5 mm, 3 mm, 4 mm, 5 mm, and 6 mm — from flexible foil to rigid structural plate.
The smooth, clean surface is ideal for laser engraving, etching, and cutting. Consistent thickness ensures repeatable results across your batch.
T2 copper is soft enough to cut with tin snips or a hobby knife (thinner gauges) and machines cleanly on a mill or lathe. It bends without cracking at typical workshop radii.
Smaller sizes are available in packs of 2 or 4 pieces, while larger sizes ship as single pieces — so you only pay for what you need.

For flexible shielding, gaskets, or foil-style applications, choose 0.3 mm–0.8 mm. For general-purpose bus bars, heat spreaders, and craft work, 1 mm–2 mm is a popular range. For structural plates, heavy-duty grounding, or machined parts, select 2.5 mm–6 mm. If you are unsure, contact us to confirm before ordering.
Yes. T2 copper at 99.9% purity has excellent electrical conductivity and is widely used for bus bars, grounding straps, and terminal connections. For high-current applications, select a thicker plate (2 mm and above) and size the cross-section according to your current load requirements.
Bare copper will naturally oxidise and develop a patina over time when exposed to moisture and air. For outdoor or high-humidity environments, consider applying a clear lacquer or protective coating after fabrication. The patina itself (cupric oxide / verdigris) is non-conductive, so electrical contact surfaces should be kept clean or tinned.
Yes. The smooth, flat surface is well suited for laser engraving and chemical etching. For CO₂ lasers, a marking spray or black paint coating is typically required since bare copper reflects CO₂ wavelengths. Fibre lasers can mark bare copper directly. Always test on a scrap piece first to dial in your settings.
Yes. T2 copper solders and brazes readily with standard copper-rated flux and solder alloys (e.g., Sn60Pb40, lead-free SAC305, or silver-bearing solders). Clean the surface with isopropyl alcohol or fine abrasive before soldering for best results.
Order the next size up from your finished dimensions to allow for cutting kerf and edge cleanup. For example, if your finished part is 45 × 45 mm, order the 50 × 50 mm plate. Thinner sheets (≤1 mm) can be cut with tin snips or a sharp hobby knife and straight edge; thicker plates are best cut with an angle grinder, jigsaw with a metal blade, or CNC router.
Pack quantity varies by size. Smaller sizes (e.g., 10 × 10 mm, 15 × 15 mm) are available in packs of 4 or 2 pieces. Medium sizes are available in packs of 2 or 1. Larger sizes (e.g., 100 × 200 mm, 150 × 150 mm, 180 × 180 mm) are sold as single pieces. The exact quantity for each combination is shown in the variant selector above.
