Which thread size do I need for my PC case?
Most standard PC cases use 6-32 UNC (imperial) for side panels and drive mounts. However, many newer cases and smaller electronics use M3 or M3.5 metric threads. For laptops, cameras, and 3D printers, M2, M2.5, M3 are common. If you’re unsure, remove one of your existing screws and compare to a known M3 or M4 nut – or measure the diameter with calipers (M3 = 3mm, M4 = 4mm, etc.).
