You’re adding a custom touch to your PC case, camera rig, or 3D printer – and you want thumbscrews that look as good as they work. These M3.5, M4, M5 and M6 aluminium thumb screws are machined from 6061 alloy and finished with a bright anodised coating. Fully threaded, with lengths measured under the head. Lightweight, corrosion‑resistant, and non‑magnetic – perfect for computer case panels, camera bracket locks, and any application where style meets function.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions – Aluminium Knurled Thumb Screws

1. How do I measure the length of these thumb screws?

The length is measured from the underside of the head (where the knurling meets the shaft) to the tip of the threaded stud. The head itself is NOT included. For example, an “M4 x 10mm” screw has a 10mm long threaded shaft under the head. Select your required stud length from the dropdown.

2. Are these screws fully threaded? What about longer lengths?

Yes – all screws in this range are fully threaded from under the head to the tip, ensuring maximum grip in tapped holes or when using a nut.

3. Will the anodised colour fade or scratch easily?

Anodising is a durable electrochemical finish that bonds to the aluminium. It resists scratches and fading far better than paint. Normal hand use will not remove the colour. Slight colour variations may occur between batches or due to lighting – this is normal.

4. Can I use these screws outdoors? Will they rust?

Aluminium naturally forms a protective oxide layer, and the anodised finish adds extra corrosion resistance. They are suitable for indoor and light outdoor use. For continuous saltwater or harsh chemical environments, we recommend stainless steel thumb screws.

5. Do I need a nut or washer with these thumb screws?

If your equipment has a pre‑tapped hole of the same thread size, no nut is needed. For plain holes, use a standard metric nut (M3.5, M4, M5, or M6). A flat washer is optional for load distribution.

6. What colours are available? Can I request a specific colour?

We offer a range of anodised colours – please select from the dropdown if options are shown. For custom colours or large orders, contact us.
