Description

Aluminum Standoff Spacers M4.2 / M5.2 / M6.2 ID — Anodized, Red & Black, 2–16mm Lengths

Plastic spacers crack under vibration and steel standoffs add unnecessary weight to FPV frames, drone builds, and RC model assemblies. These anodized aluminum standoff spacers deliver the right balance of strength, weight, and corrosion resistance for precision electronics and model builds where every gram and every millimeter of stack height matters.

Machined from high-strength aluminum alloy with an anodized surface finish, each standoff spacer features a round collar body with a through-bore for bolt pass-through. Available in three inner diameter sizes — M4.2mm (OD 8mm), M5.2mm (OD 10mm), and M6.2mm (OD 10mm) — and seven lengths from 2mm to 16mm (2mm, 4mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 16mm). Available in Red and Black anodized finishes. Tolerance: ±0.3mm.

These aluminum standoff spacers are widely used in FPV model frames, airplane and car models, RC toys, drone motherboard mounts, home computers, TV assembly, office machinery, telecommunication equipment, consumer electronics, and audiovisual equipment — as connecting rods, tie rods, support columns, or PCB stack spacers.

Compatible with M4, M5, and M6 bolts (through-bore fit). ID 4.2mm fits M4 bolts; ID 5.2mm fits M5 bolts; ID 6.2mm fits M6 bolts. OD: 8mm (M4.2 ID) or 10mm (M5.2 and M6.2 ID). Available lengths: 2mm, 4mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 16mm. Tolerance: ±0.3mm.

✅ Key Features of These Anodized Aluminum Standoff Spacers

  • 🔩 High-Strength Aluminum Alloy — Lightweight & Durable: Machined from heat-treatable aluminum alloy with good mechanical performance, wear resistance, and corrosion and oxidation resistance. Significantly lighter than steel standoffs while maintaining the rigidity needed for FPV frames, drone builds, and electronics enclosures.
  • 🎨 Anodized Red & Black Finishes: Available in Red and Black anodized finishes. The anodized surface is integrated into the aluminum for a hard, color-fast layer that resists scratching and fading — ideal for color-coding PCB stack layers or matching your FPV frame build aesthetic.
  • 📐 3 Inner Diameter Sizes — M4.2, M5.2, M6.2mm: ID 4.2mm (OD 8mm) fits M4 bolts; ID 5.2mm (OD 10mm) fits M5 bolts; ID 6.2mm (OD 10mm) fits M6 bolts. Covers the three most common bolt sizes used in FPV frames, drone builds, and electronics PCB stack assemblies.
  • 📏 7 Lengths from 2mm to 16mm: Available in 2mm, 4mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, and 16mm lengths, allowing precise control of PCB stack height, component clearance, and frame layer spacing in drone, RC model, and electronics builds.
  • 🛡️ Corrosion & Oxidation Resistant: The anodized aluminum construction provides excellent corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, maintaining performance and appearance in both indoor electronics environments and outdoor RC model and drone applications.
  • 🔧 ±0.3mm Precision Tolerance: Consistent bore diameter and length dimensions ensure reliable bolt fit and accurate stack height across all three ID sizes and seven length options, critical for maintaining PCB alignment and frame geometry in precision builds.

🎯 Who Is This For?

🚁 FPV Drone & RC Model Builders

Use as frame layer spacers, motor mount standoffs, or PCB stack spacers in FPV racing frames, freestyle builds, airplane models, and car models where lightweight, precise-length aluminum standoffs are needed.

💻 Electronics & PCB Assembly

Ideal for motherboard mounts, home computer builds, TV assembly, office machinery, telecommunication equipment, consumer electronics, and audiovisual equipment where consistent PCB stack height and component clearance are required.

🔧 Mechanical & Industrial Assembly

Suitable for use as connecting rods, tie rods, or support columns in mechanical equipment, mold processing, and general industrial assembly where a lightweight, corrosion-resistant aluminum spacer is needed between two bolted components.

🎨 DIY Makers & Custom Builders

Perfect for any DIY project, custom enclosure, or fabrication build where precise stack height control and a clean anodized color finish are needed for both function and aesthetics.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

What bolt size does each inner diameter fit?

ID 4.2mm is designed for M4 bolts (through-bore clearance fit). ID 5.2mm is designed for M5 bolts. ID 6.2mm is designed for M6 bolts. The 0.2mm clearance over the nominal bolt diameter allows smooth bolt pass-through without binding.

What is the outer diameter of each size?

The M4.2mm ID spacer has an outer diameter of 8mm. Both the M5.2mm ID and M6.2mm ID spacers have an outer diameter of 10mm. Select your ID and length combination from the variant options above.

Are these standoffs threaded or smooth bore?

These are smooth through-bore (unthreaded) standoff spacers. They are designed to be used with a bolt passing through the bore, with a nut or threaded insert on the other side to clamp components together at a precise spacing. They are not internally threaded.

Are these suitable for FPV drone frame builds?

Yes. These aluminum standoff spacers are commonly used in FPV model frames as layer spacers, PCB stack spacers, and motor mount standoffs. The lightweight aluminum construction and precise length tolerances make them well-suited for FPV racing and freestyle drone builds.

Will the anodized color fade or chip over time?

The anodized finish is integrated into the surface of the aluminum rather than applied as a paint or coating, making it generally more resistant to fading and chipping than painted alternatives under normal use conditions.

What is the tolerance on these standoff spacers?

These standoff spacers are manufactured to a tolerance of ±0.3mm on both bore diameter and length, ensuring consistent bolt fit and accurate stack height across all size and length combinations.

Can these be used as support columns or connecting rods?

Yes. In addition to PCB stack and frame spacer applications, these standoff spacers can be used as connecting rods, tie rods, or support columns in mechanical equipment, office machinery, consumer electronics, and general DIY assembly where a lightweight aluminum spacer is needed between two bolted components.
