1. How do I measure the length of a pan head screw?
For pan head screws, the length is measured from the underside of the head (the flat bearing surface) to the tip. The head itself is NOT included. So an “M3 x 10mm” screw has a 10mm long threaded shaft under the head. All lengths in our listing follow this standard.
2. Are these screws fully threaded?
Yes – all screws from M1 to M8 in this range (up to 50mm length) are fully threaded from under the head to the tip. This gives you maximum grip in shallow holes or through‑nut applications.
3. Will the black finish rust? Can I use these screws outdoors?
The nickel plating plus black topcoat provides good corrosion resistance for indoor use and occasional light outdoor exposure (e.g., garden furniture, garage projects).
