Smaller diameters with thicker walls generally support higher pressures. This tube is not recommended for high-pressure systems such as pressurized water mains or fuel injection. Standard clear PVC is not UV-stabilized and will typically become brittle or discolor with prolonged direct sunlight exposure. Use a sharp utility knife or a dedicated tube cutter for a clean, square cut. Score around the circumference first, then cut through in one firm motion. A straight cut is essential for a proper seal against barb fittings and clamps. Avoid sawing back and forth, which can leave a ragged edge that prevents a leak-free connection.

Clear flexible PVC tubing is generally rated for use between approximately 32°F and 140°F (0°C to 60°C). Avoid use in steam lines, hot water systems above this range, or applications where the tube contacts surfaces that exceed 140°F, as the tube may soften or deform.
