The chain is fine...but I ordered the wrong size. Nine links of the chain I ordered equals six of the size I wanted. My error...
How can I straighten out the springs? I can't use them coil uo as is.

When a broken or extended roller chain brings your conveyor line or drive system to a halt, every minute of downtime costs you. Engineers, maintenance technicians, and DIY fabricators who work with ISO-standard roller chains need connecting links that match the chain's rated load without adding weak points. These curved plate roller chain connectors are designed specifically for that job — delivering a secure, flush-fitting join that keeps your chain running at full capacity.
Each connector is machined from carbon steel with a zinc-plated finish to resist corrosion in light-duty industrial and workshop environments. The curved (bent) outer plate profile conforms to the chain's natural geometry, distributing tension evenly across the pin and plate. Available in five ISO chain sizes — 06B (9.525 mm / 0.375 in pitch), 08B (12.7 mm / 0.5 in pitch), 10A (15.875 mm / 0.625 in pitch), 12A (19.05 mm / 0.75 in pitch), and 16A (25.4 mm / 1.0 in pitch) — with four hole configurations: Single Side Single Hole, Double Side Single Hole, Single Side Double Hole, and Double Side Double Hole.
Typical applications include conveyor chain repair on packaging and food-processing lines, agricultural machinery drive chains, bicycle and light-vehicle chain extensions, and custom roller chain conveyor fabrication where curved plate roller chain connectors must integrate with existing ISO-standard sprockets and chain runs.

Match the connector size to your chain's ISO designation, which is stamped on the chain's outer plate or listed in your equipment manual. The key measurement is the chain pitch — the distance between pin centres. 06B = 9.525 mm, 08B = 12.7 mm, 10A = 15.875 mm, 12A = 19.05 mm, 16A = 25.4 mm. If you are unsure, measure the pitch with a calliper across 10 links and divide by 10 for accuracy.
Single Hole connectors have one attachment hole in the outer plate, used for mounting brackets, guides, or accessories on one or both sides of the chain. Double Hole connectors have two holes per plate, providing additional fixing points for heavier attachments or where two-bolt mounting is required for stability. Choose based on your attachment bracket's bolt pattern.
Single Side means only one outer plate (left or right) has the attachment hole(s); the opposite plate is a standard plain plate. Double Side means both outer plates carry the hole(s), allowing attachments to be mounted symmetrically on both sides of the chain — useful for conveyor flights, pushers, or guide rails that span the full chain width.
These connectors are manufactured from carbon steel with a zinc-plated finish and are dimensioned for standard-series ISO 606 chains. They are not recommended for stainless steel chain runs (where galvanic compatibility is required) or heavy-series (H-suffix) chains, which have wider inner plates and higher tensile ratings. Contact us to confirm suitability if you have a non-standard chain specification.
Curved plate (bent plate) connecting links are designed to approach the tensile strength of the chain's standard links when correctly installed. The curved geometry distributes load more evenly than a flat plate, reducing the stress concentration at the pin holes. For exact tensile ratings by size, refer to the ISO 606 standard or contact us to confirm the specification for your application.
No special tools are required beyond a standard chain breaker/press tool and a pair of snap-ring or cotter-pin pliers, depending on the closing clip style. The connectors are dimensioned to ISO tolerances and press into the chain's inner links without modification. Ensure the closing clip is fully seated in the pin groove before running the chain under load.
10A and 12A sizes correspond to common bicycle and light motorcycle chain pitches (5/8 in and 3/4 in respectively). However, bicycle-specific chains often have narrower inner widths than industrial ISO chains of the same pitch. Verify the inner plate width of your chain against the connector's dimensions before installation. For standard industrial-pitch bicycle or motorcycle drive chains, these connectors are typically compatible.
