The chain is fine...but I ordered the wrong size. Nine links of the chain I ordered equals six of the size I wanted. My error...
How can I straighten out the springs? I can't use them coil uo as is.

When your conveyor line, assembly table, or material handling station demands frictionless, multi-directional movement, a worn or mismatched roller unit creates costly bottlenecks. Engineers, maintenance technicians, and DIY fabricators who need reliable load transfer without fixed-direction constraints rely on ball transfer bearing units to keep operations moving. The CY series is engineered for exactly these demanding environments.
Each CY ball transfer unit features a hardened load ball seated in a housing packed with recirculating support balls, delivering smooth omnidirectional rolling. Available in three housing materials — Carbon Steel, Nylon, and Stainless Steel — and seven size designations (CY-12A through CY-38A), with housing diameters ranging from approximately 12 mm (0.47 in) to 38 mm (1.50 in). The mounting flange accepts standard bolt patterns for drop-in replacement or new installations.
Typical applications include gravity conveyor tables for package sorting, CNC workpiece positioning fixtures, sheet metal handling benches, and light-duty automated assembly lines where parts must rotate or slide freely in any direction without manual repositioning.

Match the CY designation number to the required mounting hole diameter in your conveyor frame — for example, CY-25A fits a ~25 mm mounting hole. Also verify the static load capacity of the chosen size against the maximum weight of the items being conveyed, and confirm the overall height suits your table surface height requirement.
Carbon Steel units offer the highest load capacity at the lowest cost and are suited for dry indoor environments. Nylon units are lightweight, electrically non-conductive, and quieter in operation — ideal for electronics assembly or noise-sensitive areas. Stainless Steel units resist corrosion and are appropriate for food processing, washdown areas, or outdoor-adjacent installations where moisture is present.
Stainless Steel variants offer the best corrosion resistance and are the recommended choice for damp, humid, or washdown environments. Carbon Steel units are not recommended for prolonged moisture exposure without additional protective coatings. Nylon units resist moisture but have lower load ratings than steel versions.
CY-series units follow widely adopted industry dimensional standards. In most cases, selecting the same CY size designation as your existing units will result in a direct drop-in fit. Always verify the mounting hole diameter, flange outer diameter, and overall height against your current units before ordering to confirm compatibility.
Load capacity varies by size and material. Larger designations (CY-30A, CY-38A) in Carbon Steel or Stainless Steel carry significantly higher loads than smaller Nylon variants. Please refer to the variant-specific datasheet or contact us to confirm the rated static and dynamic load capacity for your chosen size and material combination.
Most CY-series ball transfer units are supplied with grease pre-packed around the support balls. Under normal operating conditions, periodic re-lubrication with a compatible grease extends service life. In high-cycle or heavy-load applications, inspect units regularly for wear on the load ball surface and replace units showing flat spots or rough rolling.
Ball transfer units are designed primarily for horizontal or near-horizontal surfaces where gravity assists load contact with the ball. On inclined surfaces, the effective load capacity is reduced and items may slide rather than roll. For inclined applications, consult the load angle specifications for your chosen size or contact us to confirm suitability.
