Measure the width of your faucet handle at the grip. If it's roughly 35–40mm across, choose Type A. If the handle is smaller (common on utility sinks or compact laundry faucets), choose Type B. Also check whether the original cap had a screw inside — if yes, you need a threaded type (A or B). If it was just a sticker, use Type C or D.
For Types A and B, the screw is integrated into the cap — it's a single piece that threads directly into the valve stem. No separate screw needed. For Types C and D (sticker caps), there is no screw; they simply cover an existing exposed screw head.

Types A and B are designed for top-mount screw covers common on two-handle basin faucets. Many kitchen faucets use a side set-screw instead, so threaded types may not fit. First, remove the old or broken cap. Clean any mineral deposits off the valve stem threads with a small wire brush or white vinegar — this prevents cross-threading. Then hand-thread the new cap in clockwise until snug. For sticker types (C/D), clean the surface with rubbing alcohol, let it dry, then press firmly for 30 seconds.
These caps use a standard metric small machine thread that fits most common basin faucet valve stems. However, some older or specialty faucets may use non-standard threads. If the cap doesn't thread in smoothly, do not force it — contact us with your faucet brand and model for guidance.
