Description

🔩 M2.5 & M3 Pan Head Phillips Machine Screws – A2 304 Stainless Steel, Fully Threaded (4–60mm Lengths)

You’re assembling a small electronic enclosure, mounting a 3D printer part, or repairing a piece of lab equipment – and you need reliable, corrosion‑proof fasteners that won’t let you down. These M2.5 and M3 pan head machine screws are made from A2 stainless steel (304), offering excellent rust resistance, good strength, and a clean, professional appearance. The low‑profile pan head provides a wide bearing surface, perfect for plastic, sheet metal, or wood. Phillips drive works with standard crosshead screwdrivers. Available in lengths from 4mm up to 60mm (measured under the head). Fully threaded for maximum grip. Ideal for electronics, appliances, furniture, and general DIY projects where quality and durability matter.

✨ Key Features – M2.5 & M3 Pan Head Phillips Machine Screws

  • 🔘 Pan head design – Low profile with a wide bearing surface. Distributes clamping force evenly – ideal for soft materials like plastic and thin sheet metal.
  • 🛡️ A2 stainless steel (304) – Excellent corrosion resistance. Won’t rust indoors or outdoors. Suitable for marine‑adjacent and humid environments.
  • 💪
Phillips drive – Standard cross recess works with common screwdrivers. Good torque transfer with reduced cam‑out.
  • 📏 M2.5 and M3 metric threads – Two of the most popular sizes for small‑scale fastening. Perfect for electronics, 3D printers, and hobby projects.
  • 📐 Lengths from 4mm to 60mm (under head) – Wide range to suit shallow panels or thicker assemblies. Fully threaded for maximum grip.
  • 💪 High quality & durable – 100% new, precision machined threads. Smooth, burr‑free surface.
  • 🧰 Widely used – Electronics enclosures, 3D printers, RC models, furniture, small appliances, and DIY repairs.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions – M2.5 & M3 Pan Head Phillips Screws

1. How do I measure the length of a pan head screw?

For pan head screws, the length is measured from the underside of the head (the flat bearing surface) to the tip. The head itself is NOT included. So an “M3 x 10mm” screw has a 10mm long threaded shaft under the head. This matches the lengths shown in our table.

2. Are these screws fully threaded?

Yes – all M2.5 and M3 screws in this range (4mm to 60mm) are fully threaded from under the head to the tip. This gives you maximum grip in shallow holes or through‑nut applications.

3. Can I use these screws outdoors? Will they rust?

A2 stainless (304) is highly corrosion‑resistant and suitable for outdoor use in most environments, including rain and humidity. For continuous saltwater immersion (e.g., boat fittings below waterline), we recommend A4 (316) stainless, but for general outdoor furniture, garden equipment, and coastal areas, A2 is excellent and will not rust.

4. What Phillips screwdriver size do I need?

For M2.5 and M3 screws, use a #0 or #1 Phillips screwdriver. A #0 fits smaller recesses better, but a #1 also works for M3. Always match the bit size to avoid cam‑out and head damage.

5. Can I use these screws with a nut or do they need a tapped hole?

Both – these are machine screws. They can be threaded into pre‑tapped holes of the same metric size (M2.5 or M3) or used with matching nuts (M2.5 nut or M3 nut). They are not self‑tapping. For wood or plastic, drill a pilot hole and use a threaded insert or a nut on the back.

6. Do you offer other sizes like M4 or M5?

This listing is specifically for M2.5 and M3. We also carry M4, M5, M6, and other sizes in our store – please check our other listings or contact us for bulk or custom orders.
