🔘 M3 Knurled Thumb Screws – Aluminum Alloy Hand Grip Knob + Stainless Steel Stud, Anodised Colours
You’re modding a PC case, upgrading a power supply, or building a custom chassis – and you want thumb screws that look as good as they work. These M3 knurled thumb screws combine a lightweight, anodised aluminium hand grip knob with a strong, corrosion‑resistant stainless steel threaded stud. The result is a fastener that’s easy on the fingers, won’t rust, and adds a splash of colour to your build. Choose from gold, blue, black, silver, or red anodised heads. The diamond knurling gives you a secure non‑slip grip for tool‑less operation. Ideal for computer side panels, hard drive cages, expansion cards, and any DIY modification where style meets function.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions – M3 Anodised Thumb Screws
1. How do I measure the length of this thumb screw?
The length is measured from the underside of the aluminium head (where the knurling meets the stud) to the tip of the stainless steel thread. The head itself is NOT included. Choose your required stud length from the dropdown – typical lengths range from 6mm to 20mm.
2. Will the anodised colour fade or scratch?
Anodising is a durable electrochemical finish that bonds to the aluminium. It resists fading and scratches far better than paint. Normal handling will not remove the colour.
3. Is the stainless steel stud fully threaded?
Yes – the stud is fully threaded from under the head to the tip, providing maximum grip in tapped holes (e.g., PC case threaded inserts) or when used with an M3 nut.
4. Can I use these screws on my standard PC case?
Most PC cases use 6‑32 UNC or M3 thumb screws for side panels and expansion slots. Check your case’s thread type. M3 is common for hard drives, optical drives, and some case thumbscrews. If you are replacing 6‑32 screws, these will not fit. We recommend verifying your original screw thread before ordering.
5. Do I need a nut or washer with these screws?
If your case or component has a pre‑tapped M3 hole (e.g., a threaded boss), no nut is needed. For plain holes, use a standard M3 nut. A flat washer is optional for load distribution.
6. What colours are available? Can I get a mixed colour set?
We offer gold, blue, black, silver, and red individually. For mixed colour packs, please contact customer service – we may be able to accommodate custom assortments.
