Brass naturally resists corrosion better than bare steel, making the brass sheave wheel a durable choice for environments with occasional moisture exposure, such as marine-adjacent or outdoor applications. For prolonged saltwater or fully submerged use, additional corrosion protection measures should be considered and the variant specifications confirmed.

These pulleys are designed primarily for fiber and synthetic ropes. Using wire rope or steel cable is not recommended unless the variant specifications explicitly confirm wire rope compatibility, as wire rope requires a specifically grooved sheave profile and higher load ratings to operate safely.

The 43mm Rotate variants are suited for lighter loads and smaller-diameter ropes in compact rigging setups. The 58mm variants offer a mid-range balance of rope capacity and block size for general workshop use. The 86mm Rotate variants are best for larger ropes and higher load applications where a bigger sheave diameter reduces rope wear and improves mechanical efficiency.
