Description

🔩 Product Overview: M2–M4 Pozi Pan Head Machine Screws (A2-70 Stainless, DIN 7985)

If you’ve ever struggled with a Phillips driver slipping out just as you’re about to tighten a screw, it’s time to try Pozidriv. These M2, M2.5, M3, M3.5, and M4 pan head machine screws feature the Pozidrive (Pozi) recess – designed to give you better bite and less cam‑out than standard Phillips. Made from A2-70 stainless steel, they won’t rust or stain, even in damp workshops or outdoor gear. Manufactured to DIN 7985 standards in the UK and fully threaded from under the head to tip, they’re perfect for electronics, furniture, 3D printers, and any project where a clean, corrosion‑resistant fastener matters. Plus, we offer free Royal Mail UK delivery and next‑day dispatch.

✨ Why Upgrade to Pozidriv Pan Head Screws from HomeDIYer Fastener?

  • Pozidriv (Pozi) drive – Distinct from Phillips, the extra cross‑recesses provide greater torque transfer and significantly reduce cam‑out. Your driver stays engaged, even under load.
  • A2-70 stainless steel (304 grade) – Excellent corrosion resistance for indoor and outdoor use. No plating to chip or wear off – solid stainless performance.
  • DIN 7985 standard pan head – Low-profile rounded head with a flat bearing surface. Ideal for sheet metal, plastic casings, and wood where a neat finish is desired.
  • Metric sizes: M2, M2.5, M3, M3.5, M4 – The most common diameters for small appliances, RC vehicles, laptops, and lighting fixtures. Fully threaded for maximum grip in thin materials.
  • British manufactured quality – Made in the United Kingdom to consistent tolerances. No surprises with thread fit or head dimensions.
  • Free Royal Mail UK delivery* & next-day dispatch – Order today (Mon–Fri), and we ship it tomorrow. Get your project moving fast.

❓ FAQs – Pozi Pan Head Screws (M2–M4, A2 Stainless)

🔸 What’s the difference between Pozidriv and Phillips? Can I use a Phillips screwdriver on these?
Pozidriv has extra smaller cross‑recesses at 45° angles and a blunter tip. A Phillips driver will fit loosely and will cam‑out or damage the recess. Always use a genuine Pozidriv (Pozi) driver bit – sizes PZ0 (for M2/M2.5), PZ1 (for M3/M3.5), and PZ2 (for M4). Using the correct bit gives you much better torque without slipping.
🔸 Are these screws fully threaded? How is length measured?
Yes – fully threaded from just under the head all the way to the tip. Length is measured from under the head (the flat bearing surface) to the tip. The pan head itself is additional. For example, an M3 x 10mm screw has a 10mm threaded shank plus the head height (2.52mm). Always check your hole depth accordingly.
🔸 Will A2-70 stainless steel rust outdoors?
A2 (304) stainless is highly resistant to moisture, rain, and humidity – perfect for garden furniture, outdoor signs, and marine above‑water use. For direct saltwater immersion (boat hulls), 316 stainless is better, but for almost all UK outdoor conditions, A2 is more than sufficient.
🔸 Do you ship internationally, or only within the UK?
We offer free Royal Mail delivery within the UK. For international orders, shipping costs will apply – contact us for a quote. We're based in the United Kingdom and dispatch next business day for all orders placed Mon‑Fri.
🔸 Can I use these screws in wood or plastic, or are they only for metal?
These are machine screws – best used with a nut or into a pre‑tapped metal hole. For wood or soft plastic, you can drill a pilot hole and use them as wood screws (especially the fully‑threaded design), but they lack a sharp self‑tapping point. For best results in plastic or wood, consider adding a threaded insert or using a nut on the back side.
🔸 What lengths do you offer? Can I get a specific length?
We offer a wide range of lengths – please select from the dropdown options on the product page. Common lengths include 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 16mm, 20mm, and up to 60mm depending on diameter. If you need a non‑listed length, contact us – we may be able to source it.
🔸 What does A2-70 mean?
A2 refers to the stainless steel grade (304, 18% chromium, 8% nickel). 70 indicates a minimum tensile strength of 700 N/mm². This is the standard grade for most general‑purpose stainless fasteners – strong, corrosion‑resistant, and widely available.
