Description

🔩 M3 Phillips Pan Head Machine Screws – A2 Stainless Steel, M3×3mm to M3×150mm (Full Length Range)

Need an M3 screw but not the usual short ones? This range goes from tiny 3mm all the way up to 150mm – perfect for deep thread engagement, standoffs, or custom assemblies. These Phillips pan head machine screws are made from A2 (304) stainless steel, so they resist rust indoors, outdoors, and in humid environments. The round pan head gives a clean, low‑profile finish, and the Phillips drive offers excellent torque transfer without slipping. Whether you’re building a 3D printer, repairing appliances, or working on automotive trim, grab the exact length you need – from M3×3mm to M3×150mm – in the quantity that suits you.

✨ Key Features – M3 Phillips Pan Head Stainless Screws

  • 🔩 M3 metric thread (3mm diameter) – One of the most common sizes for electronics, 3D printers, RC models, and light machinery.
  • 📏 Massive length range (3mm – 150mm) – From tiny 3mm for thin panels up to 150mm for deep standoffs or long reach applications. Fully threaded on most lengths.
  • 🧪 A2 stainless steel (304 grade) – Excellent corrosion resistance, non‑rusting, and suitable for outdoor or humid environments. Also available in 201 or 316 (contact us).
  • 📏
Phillips drive for easy tool access – Cross‑head design provides good torque transmission and a self‑locking tendency (less loosening from vibration). Works with any PH2 screwdriver.
  • 💎 Pan / round head with low profile – Sits neatly above the surface, provides a clean finished look without requiring countersinking.
  • 🏭 Widely used across industries – Furniture assembly, appliance repair, automotive trim, electronics disassembly, 3D printer frames, and general DIY.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions – M3 Phillips Pan Head Screws (3–150mm)

1. What’s the difference between a pan head and a countersunk flat head?

Pan heads sit above the surface – no need to countersink the hole. They give a clean, slightly domed finish. Countersunk heads require a tapered hole to sit flush. For most DIY and electronic work, pan head is easier and faster because you just drill a straight hole. Choose pan head when appearance matters but you don’t want to countersink.

2. Why does stainless steel sometimes have slight magnetism? Is my screw defective?

No – it’s normal. 304 (A2) is austenitic and generally non‑magnetic, but cold heading during manufacturing can transform some structure to martensite, which is weakly magnetic. This does not affect corrosion resistance or strength. Fully non‑magnetic 304 is available via special annealing (contact us).

3. Are these screws fully threaded even at 150mm length?

Most lengths up to 100mm are fully threaded. For 110mm and longer, there may be a short unthreaded shank under the head due to manufacturing limitations. If you need fully threaded for very long lengths, please contact us to confirm.

4. What Phillips bit size do I need for M3 screws?

M3 screws typically use a PH1 or PH2 bit. PH1 fits more snugly, but PH2 works as well. Using the correct size prevents stripping and ensures good torque transfer.

5. Can I use these screws with M3 nuts or into tapped holes?

Yes – they are standard M3 machine screws. Use them with M3 nuts (metric) or into pre‑tapped M3 holes. They are not self‑tapping – do not drive into untreated wood or metal without a pilot hole and tapping.

6. Do you offer other materials like 316 stainless or black zinc?

This listing is for A2 (304) stainless. For 316 stainless (marine grade), 201 stainless, or carbon steel with black zinc/nickel plating, please contact us – we can source or manufacture custom orders.
