The chain is fine...but I ordered the wrong size. Nine links of the chain I ordered equals six of the size I wanted. My error...
How can I straighten out the springs? I can't use them coil uo as is.

When your project demands a conductor that won't let you down — whether you're building a busbar assembly, grounding a panel, or fabricating custom brackets — sourcing the right copper stock is half the battle. Electricians, hobbyist makers, and small-shop fabricators all share the same frustration: finding flat copper bar that ships in the exact thickness and width they need, without ordering a full industrial coil. This T2 pure copper flat bar is stocked in a range of cross-sections specifically to solve that problem.
Each bar is milled from T2-grade electrolytic copper (≥99.9% Cu), offering excellent electrical conductivity (typically ≥57 MS/m) and thermal conductivity. Available in thicknesses of 10 mm (~0.39 in) and 12 mm (~0.47 in), widths from 20 mm to 100 mm (~0.79 in to ~3.94 in), and a standard cut length of 200 mm (~7.87 in). The flat, mill-finished surface is ready for bending, drilling, or direct installation.
Typical applications include low-voltage busbar fabrication for distribution boards, grounding straps and earthing conductors in residential and commercial electrical work, heat-sink base plates for DIY electronics cooling, and decorative or structural copper inlays in woodworking and metalworking projects.
Manufactured from ≥99.9% pure T2 copper for consistent electrical and thermal performance across every bar.
Choose from 10 mm or 12 mm thickness paired with widths of 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 80, or 100 mm to match your exact design requirement.
Each piece is cut to a consistent 200 mm (~7.87 in) length, ready to use or further cut to size on-site.
The mill-finished copper surface develops a natural protective patina over time, resisting oxidation in typical indoor environments.
Soft-annealed copper is easy to drill, punch, bend, and solder — no special tooling required for most workshop operations.

For low-voltage busbars, the cross-sectional area determines current-carrying capacity. As a general guide, T2 copper carries approximately 2–4 A per mm² depending on ventilation and installation conditions. Multiply your required amperage by a safety factor and divide by the current density to find the minimum cross-section, then select the nearest available Thick*Wide combination from the variant options.
T2 copper in the soft/annealed condition has a tensile strength of approximately 200–250 MPa. It is suitable for light structural brackets, clamps, and fixtures, but is not recommended as a primary load-bearing structural member in high-stress applications. For decorative inlays, heat sinks, and electrical conductors it performs reliably.
Copper naturally oxidizes to form a stable patina (cuprous oxide) that actually slows further corrosion. In dry indoor environments the surface will darken gradually but remain electrically and mechanically sound. For outdoor or high-humidity applications, consider applying a clear lacquer or tin-plating the contact surfaces.
Yes. T2 copper solders and brazes readily with standard copper-compatible fluxes and filler materials. Clean the surface with fine abrasive or flux before soldering to remove any surface oxide. Silver-bearing solders or phosphor-copper brazing rods are commonly used for higher-temperature joints.
T2 is the Chinese national standard designation for electrolytic tough-pitch (ETP) copper, equivalent to ASTM C11000 (C110) used in North America and CW004A in Europe. All three designations refer to ≥99.9% pure copper with similar conductivity and mechanical properties, so T2 flat bar is a direct functional equivalent to C110 copper bar for most electrical and fabrication uses.
Yes. Soft copper cuts easily with a hacksaw, angle grinder, or metal-cutting bandsaw. Deburr the cut edge with a file or deburring tool before installation. For very precise cuts, a miter saw with a non-ferrous metal blade works well.
The available widths are 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 80, and 100 mm. There is no 25 mm width option. The closest options are 10mm×20mm (slightly narrower) or 10mm×30mm (slightly wider). If you need exactly 25 mm, order the 10mm×30mm bar and trim 5 mm from one edge on a mill or with a grinder.
