It is highly water-resistant thanks to the full rubber seal, which prevents rain, car wash spray, and road moisture from entering. While it keeps contents dry in normal conditions, it is not designed for full submersion. For maximum protection, ensure the lid is fully closed and the T-handle is latched securely.
The box includes pre-drilled mounting holes on the back and bottom flanges. Because mounting configurations vary widely between trucks, trailers, and vans, universal L-brackets and hardware are not included in the box. We recommend using heavy-duty self-tapping screws or Grade 8 bolts with locking nuts (available at any hardware store) for a secure install.
Absolutely. The box features a symmetrical design, and the T-handle operates from either direction. It fits comfortably on the driver side, passenger side, or even cross-mounted under a trailer frame tongue.
While the aluminum construction is extremely sturdy, the weight capacity depends heavily on the mounting surface. For typical underbody installations using steel brackets, the box safely supports up to 100 lbs of evenly distributed gear. We recommend placing heavier items in the center and securing them with straps to prevent shifting during transit.
External dimensions are 18.90" L x 25.67" W x 20.47" H. Interior storage space is approximately 17.5" L x 24.0" W x 18.5" H. This slight reduction accounts for the thickness of the aluminum diamond plate and the rubber seal lip. It fits most standard tool bags, jumper cables, and recovery gear.
