Description

⚪ White Nylon Pan Head Machine Screws – M2 & M2.5, Pozi/Phillips Drive, Non‑Conductive & Corrosion‑Free

You’re mounting a delicate PCB, securing a battery holder, or assembling a marine radio – and metal screws could cause shorts or rust. These white nylon pan head screws are molded from tough engineering plastic (PA66) that’s completely non‑conductive, non‑magnetic, and immune to corrosion. The low‑profile pan head provides a wide bearing surface, perfect for plastic enclosures, thin wood, or sheet metal. The cross recess accepts both Pozidriv and Phillips drivers for easy installation. Available in M2 and M2.5 diameters, with fully threaded bodies. Ideal for electronics, model making, medical devices, and any application where insulation or rust‑proofing is critical.

✨ Key Features – White Nylon Pan Head Screws (M2/M2.5)

  • Electrically insulating – PA66 nylon is a natural insulator. Safe for PCBs, terminal blocks, and live circuits.
  • 🦀 100% corrosion‑proof – No rust, no oxidation, no galvanic reaction. Perfect for marine, chemical, and outdoor environments.
  • 🔘 Pan head design – Low profile with a wide bearing surface. Distributes clamping force evenly.
  • 📐
Pozi/Phillips compatible drive – Cross recess works with both Pozidriv and standard Phillips drivers. Good torque transfer.
  • 📏 M2 and M2.5 metric threads – Tiny diameters for miniature fastening in electronics, optics, and hobby work.
  • 📐 Fully threaded – Thread runs the entire length under the head. Maximum grip in shallow holes.
  • ♻️ Environmentally friendly – Non‑toxic, odorless, and lightweight (about 1/5 the weight of steel).

📏 Dimensional Specifications – White Nylon Pan Head Screws

📋 Material Properties – Nylon (PA66)

Property Value / Benefit
Material PA66 (Nylon 66) – high mechanical strength, good toughness, wear resistant
Electrical insulation Excellent – non‑conductive, safe for electronics
Corrosion resistance Immune to rust, saltwater, and most chemicals
Temperature range -40°C to +85°C continuous; short peaks up to 120°C
Density ~1.14 g/cm³ (about 1/5 the weight of steel)
Color White – clean, neutral appearance for light‑colored assemblies

❓ Frequently Asked Questions – White Nylon Pan Head Screws

1. Are these screws strong enough for structural applications?

Nylon screws have about 1/5 to 1/3 the tensile strength of steel. They are perfect for lightweight assemblies, electrical insulation, corrosion‑prone environments, and vibration‑damping. For heavy load‑bearing (e.g., holding a 50kg shelf), use metal. For PCB mounting, plastic enclosures, boat hatches, or battery terminals, nylon is ideal.

2. Can I use these screws outdoors? Will they yellow or become brittle?

White nylon is UV‑sensitive. For continuous outdoor sunlight exposure (months or years), the material may become brittle and discolor (yellowing). We recommend using them in shaded or indoor applications, or painting the screw heads with UV‑blocking paint for outdoor use. For marine or outdoor use where UV is a concern, consider black nylon (which has added UV stabilizers).

3. How do I measure the length of a pan head screw?

For pan head screws, length is measured from the underside of the head (the flat bearing surface) to the tip. The head itself is NOT included. So an “M2 x 10mm” screw has a 10mm long threaded shaft under the head. All our lengths follow this standard.

4. Can I use a Phillips driver on a Pozidriv recess? Or vice versa?

Yes – the recess is designed to accept both. However, for best fit and to avoid cam‑out, we recommend using a Pozidriv (Pozi) bit if available. A standard Phillips driver will work well for most light‑duty applications. Use the correct size: for M2 and M2.5, a #0 or #00 bit.

5. Can I use these screws with a nut? What size nut fits?

Yes – these are machine screws. Use standard metric nuts: M2 nut (0.4mm pitch) or M2.5 nut (0.45mm pitch). They will also thread into pre‑tapped holes of the same size. They are not self‑tapping; for wood or plastic, drill a pilot hole and use a nut or threaded insert.

6. Do you offer other sizes like M3 or M4 in white nylon?

This listing focuses on M2 and M2.5. We also carry white nylon screws in M3, M4, M5, M6, M8, and M10 – please check our store or contact us for availability.
