Materials List
- PVC Piping
- Pipe Cutter
- Power Drill
- Bench Vise (for stability)
- Black Nylon Cable Ties
- Pliers to be organized
Step by Step
Step 1:Cutting and Preparation
Use a pipe cutter to slice the white PVC pipe into several segments of equal length (approximately 3–5 cm) to serve as fixed sleeves for the plier handles.
Step 2:Drilling for Fasteners
Secure a cut segment in the bench vise. Use a power drill to create a hole on two opposite sides of the pipe wall, ensuring the holes are large enough for a cable tie to pass through.
Step 3: Secure and Mount
Thread a nylon cable tie through the holes in the pipe segment and wrap it around a metal bracket, square tube, or support on your workbench. Pull the cable tie tight to fix the PVC sleeve to the support firmly.
Step 4: Tool Organization
Insert one handle of your pliers into the mounted PVC sleeve. You can install multiple sleeves side-by-side as needed to achieve organized storage for various pliers.
This DIY project is a fast, budget-friendly way to declutter your shop using PVC scraps. By simply cutting, drilling, and zipping, you create a custom vertical rack that keeps your pliers organized and always ready for work.
