Smart Wire Routing in Two Steps
Step 1: Secure the Nut Leader
Trying to push blunt wires straight into a long conduit causes them to jam. Instead, create a pilot guide. Take a piece of sturdy plastic ribbon (or strong twine), thread it through a metal nut, and tie it securely. Drop this nut into one end of your PVC conduit.
Step 2: Guide via Magnetic Pull
Place your strong neodymium magnet on the outside of the PVC pipe to catch the metal nut inside. Slide the magnet along the exterior of the pipe toward the opposite end. The nut inside will flawlessly follow the magnet's path. Once the nut exits the other side, tie the trailing ribbon to your electrical wires and pull them through effortlessly.
Tackling home wiring doesn't have to be a struggle! Stop fighting stubborn wires the hard way. Grab a magnet and a nut, grab your tools, and try this effortless DIY hack on your next project!
